It boasts some tight fairways which, should mother nature decide to kick up a fuss, can be susceptible to strong winds.

A picturesque lake runs down the right hand side of the first stretch of the fairway so be sure to keep it left and avoid an early bath. As you'd expect from a club this age, Handsworth is a beautifully mature course - high tree-lined avenues, attractive borders and, although the city centre is only a matter of miles away, you'd be forgiven for thinking someone had misnamed the club and you were in fact out in the middle of Worcestershire!
