Seeing as a certain Mr Hawtree laid down the undulating fairways of Atherstone Golf Club you'd expect the challenge of the golf course to be fairly memorable. It is all of that and more.

Established 1894, this scenic parkland is spread out on quite hilly and terrain and some holes can test your stamina. Atherstone is noted for its greens which remain, throughout the year, in superb condition no matter the weather.

Visitors are welcome in the clubhouse and can choose from a variety of ales and food. To play the course, however, it is probably advisable to book a tee time in advance to avoid disappointment. A handicap certificate is also required.
