Royal Ashdown Forest, founded in December 1888, is one of the longest established golf clubs in Sussex. The West course has more of a woodland feel than the Old course, but like its sister demands superb accuracy and good course management skills from anyone looking to score well.

The courses at Royal Ashdown have no bunkers, instead using the natural lie of the land to best effect.

The club welcomes visitors and societies and the West course is open to golfers and socities of all handicaps even at weekends
