Admittedly, only a few years ago Hill Barn Golf Club wasn't the greatest example of municipal golf in the world. But, thanks to a recent cash injection it has been completely redeveloped and the course, which has benefited hugely from a new irrigation system, has never looked better.
Hill Barn came under new management at the beginning of 2003 and was bought from the local council. Now, it is a privately owned course but still retains its pay and play aspect. You can tell it is privately owned as a lot of care has been paid to the course - that might not have been the case in the years before. At 6,229 yards it is longer than most municipals and you'll need a variety of shots if you are to shoot a good score. GREEN FEE KEY: £1-£15=£ £16-£30 = ££ £31-£50 = £££ £50+ =££££ |
