Thames Ditton and Esher Golf Club enjoys a peaceful location in the homely village of Thames Ditton on the bank of the Thames.
The nine-hole course is reasonably short but uses its narrows fairways and tight approach shots as its primary defence. Accuracy, then, is essential from tee to green and, if truthful, there's very little room for error. It is, however, a very good and accessible course for high handicappers who can play freely without feeling the test is above them. Golf has been played on the common at Thames Ditton since 1892.
