Rushmere Golf Club just outside Ipswich is set deep in the heart of the Suffolk countryside, which is mainly flat for the most part and so easier on the legs. Just as well, really, because measuring 6282 yards from the tee on the first hole to the pin on the eighteenth, its course is anything but short.

It is also quite exposed and when the wind blows, the course becomes a whole other, more difficult prospect to take on. Golfers who have played it in both calm and windy conditions have said it's like playing two completely different courses, so be sure to pack a windchart and plenty of club too, because every shot in your bag can and invariably will be called upon here.
