The delightful course at Taunton and Pickeridge Golf Club is 114 years old and a real gem. A downland treat to play, its parkland setting is luxurious and verdant, making it easy on the eye. But that is the only way in which it qualifies as easy. Indeed, it is a challenge that will excite the lowest handicapper without scaring off those newer to the game. There are an abundance of testing hazards, including trees, tight fairways, and fast greens that are well guarded. The course is beatifully situated in the Blacdown Hills AONB with far reaching views across the Somerset countryside from the Clubhouse terrace.
