It provides a memorable and tough challenge, especially the opening stretch of holes, which, in theory (or is played badly) can make or break your round.

The opening two holes are good, solid par fours that will require a steady nerve form the tee while the third is the quintessential problematic par three, guarded by a large bunker at the front of the green. Come up short, here, and you're in trouble. The next is a huge par five with out-of-bounds lining the right-hand side of the fairway and, again, bunkers awaiting errant drives.

All in all, this is a superb test and well worth the green fee.
