Despite being only twenty years old, Hereford Municipal is a well developed, well matured course set over flat parkland, making it easy on the legs. Each of the nine holes features excellently maintained greens, making it a joy to play on. The good drainage also ensures that the course is rarely closed, even managing to almost completely endure the harsh winter season.

Two difficult par threes can leave a blot on your scorecard if you lose concentration. The sixth hole with its sharp dog leg to the right is the signature hole and, perhaps better than any other, identifies the course being a more demanding challenge than it may at first appear.
