The Championship standard course at Wallsend golf club is widely considered to be one of the finest in the area, combining wonderful panoramic views of the surrounding area with a challenging, hazard-ridden course. Indeed, the many natural hazards - particularly the rolling fairways - are neatly complemented by strategically built and positioned bunkers which guard the tight greens and lie in wait for wayward shots.

The greens themselves are quite tricky as they are fast and true so spending a little time on the practice greens before hitting the course should see that you are not caught out by them and drop a couple of potentially vital shots.
