The University of Newcastle are the only university in the UK to have their very own eighteen hole golf course, and a splendid one it is too. With splendid panoramic and picturesque views across the Tyne Valley, the verdant course banks the River Tyne and so a truly beautiful venue for golf has been created, and fortunately, it is not only students of the university who get to experience it.
Visitors are welcome by prior arrangement, although the club's active membership does take part in and host regular competitions.The 16th hole in particular is a difficult one to take on.
