Just off the A447 is Oundle golf club, a pleasant parkland course set in the midst of the beautiful Cambridgeshire countryside. It is one of the older clubs in the region, having been founded at the end of the nineteenth century in 1893. Measuring 6235 yards, with a standard scratch score of 70 it offers an interesting challenge to the club golfer. Visitors are welcome at any time during the week, but at weekend visitors are restricted to after 12.00noon as this private members club can get very busy. A round during the week will cost you £25.50 and £44 at weekends. Societies are welcomed on weekdays. The clubhouse facility has been fully refurbished during 2005 and the restaurant, together with bar snacks and a chef's specials board available in the bar, offer a full range of food choices. In the bar beers available include Bass and Boddingtons together with Castlemaine XXXX and Stella Artois lagers. There is also an extensive wine list featuring wines from around the world. Everyone is well looked after at this lovely, scenic and challenging course.
