Founded in 1903 and designed by the legendary golf course architect, Harry Colt, the man behind so many famous golf course designs in England, Hendon is a brilliant course that's full of character.
It may be situated in outer London, but the courses itself is actually located behind trees and is refreshingly distant from the hustle and bustle of traditional city life. Noted for its good greens and large number of bunkers - there are 81 bunkers in total, so be sure to practice your sand play - Hendon has a number of great holes. Pay particular attention to the uphill sixth hole, a 190-yard par three that's uphill - all the way! Great stuff. GREEN FEE KEY: £1-£15=£ £16-£30 = ££ £31-£50 = £££ £50+ =££££ |
