Public pay-and-play courses undeservedly get quite a bad reputation amongst discerning club golfers, and quite often for no good reason. It seems to only be the case that, as they are open to public as opposed to being members' clubs, they are regarded as the poor relation in golf circles and somewhat sneered at. How foolish then these people would feel if they turned up at RAF Coningsby Golf Club, as it belies its 'muni' status by being exceptionally well looked after and with more than the odd hazard for you to plot your way around en route to a good-score.
The location could hardly be more idyllic, and its eighteen tough and challenging holes will provide a good test for anyone GREEN FEE KEY: £1-£15=£ £16-£30 = ££ £31-£50 = £££ £50+ =££££ |
