Saddleworth Golf Club

Esteemed golf course architect, Dr. Alistair Mackenzie lent his Midas touch to the design of the fine course at Saddleworth Golf Club, which is celebrating its centenary year in 2004. He is responsible for some of the finest courses in the world and so it should come as no surprise to anybody that the course here is a fine example of his work and a real test for golfers, no matter their ability.

It is set high up in the Pennines with some truly majestic panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. The par of 71 is a good indicator of the challenges you will face, as the course measures only 5976 yards from the tee on the first to the pin on the eighteenth.
