Located in Southport, Merseyside, a region widely advertised as the home of English golf, Park Golf Club, admittedly, sits in the shadow of many great names, including Southport and Ainsdale and Royal Liverpool.

That does not, however, suggest that the parkland test that is on offer here should be ignored in favour of something more famous, or even a links test. As the saying goes, a good golf course doesn't have to be by the sea.

Park Golf Club is home to superbly enjoyable inland layout, which stretches to 5,792 yards and comes with a hard-to-match par of 70.

The course is located on Park Road West, the same street where you will find Southport Golf Club.
