Lee Park Golf Club

Lee Park Golf Club was designed by Frank Pennink and first opened its doors to golfers in 1954. Eighteen holes that span just over 6000 yards, it is a highly challenging course not far from Liverpool town centre, and one that attracts visitors back over and over again. Known throughout Merseyside as the friendliest course. It is always maintained in immaculate condition and in 2011 the R & A agronomist Alistair Beggs commented " best parkland greens he had seen this year" . A quote from the local Daily Post " an enjoyable test of both power and subtlety". The greens in the summer all play at an average 9 - 10 on the stimpmeter -quick and true!!

A new signature Par 3 hole is opening in April 2012 and is sure to be a firm favourite being played between mature scotch pines. From the new raised tee it plays at 126 yards to the 40 yard green. When played from the existing tee it measures 171 yards.

Well guarded raised greens - played on all year round - require a good short game whilst straight driving into the right area of fairway pays dividends.

Several of the par-4 and 5s are quite long and will be a pleasure for the big hitters. Players who hit shorter distances off the tee will find their iron work tested that little bit more.

Lee Park is the only club on Merseyside to have been awarded accreditation by the EGU for GolfMark (Junior welfare);ClubMark ( Management ) and Environment award ( wildlife/sustainable golf actions).
