Horwich Golf Club

The surrounding countryside provides excellent facilities for walking, bird watching, orienteering, rock climbing, fishing, cycling and horse riding, with pubs and cafes to welcome visitors at lunchtime or at the end of the day.

There are many public rights of way starting in the town centre and leading to open access to vast areas of the moorlands above. The golf course at Horwich is not too far away from stadium of the area's beloved football team, Bolton Wanderers, so visitors could, conceivably, mix a round in the morning at Horwich before catching a top-flight Premiership match in the afternoon!

The parkland course has been on the go since 1895 and is suitable for golfers of all pockets and persuasions.
