Hindley Hall is one of those golf clubs that has taken a while to generate any sort of popularity but, boy, has the wait been worth it. The golf club was formed for officials of Wigan Coal and Iron company in 1896 and ever since then it has been on the up.
Considering the level of green fee which visitors are required to pay for 18-holes, you can't help but walk onto the first tee sniggering to yourself - it really does offer superb value for money when compared to other quality courses in the area. The moorland course is fairly easy walking with some tricky holes and well-protected greens. Visitors are welcome by prior arrangement. GREEN FEE KEY: £1-£15=£ £16-£30 = ££ £31-£50 = £££ £50+ =££££ |
