Founded 1893 and situated five miles south west of the city of Manchester, Flixton Golf Club will satisfy the demands of most travelling golfers. Because of its location it has proved to be a happy hunting ground for travelling golfers and there are plenty of local hotels, bed and breakfasts and guesthouses in the surrounding area that will cater for groups of golfers.

The course is of meadowland nature is bounded by the River Mersey. It is a nine-hole course with more than a few tight fairways. You will need to be fairly accurate, even from the middle of the fairway, if you are to engineer a score to be proud of round here.
