Shortlands Golf Club

Shortlands Golf Club is full of character and full of history. So much so, in fact, that the club took it upon themselves a couple of years ago to publish a book dedicated solely to telling the history of the club.

The club, which was formed in 1894, was unique at its inception as having been founded as a ladies' club. Author Glyndwr Jones, who has been a member of the club for 33 years, was congratulated at a special ceremony to mark of the occasion.

The course is a challenging tract to all levels of player and contains a number of testing holes that, refreshingly, require great imagination as opposed to great length.
