Founded in 1897, and another of the courses designed by famous British golf course architect James Braid, Dartford golf club - a mile from the Dartford Tunnel - has established a fine reputation amongst beginners and improvers alike for being a demanding, yet ultimately rewarding course.
Set upon park and heathland, it is a comparatively small par 69, eighteen hole course, measuring, as it does, only 5914 yards. Visitors are welcome during the week on the condition they are members of another club and are able to provide a handicap certificate, and at weekends they must be accompanied by a member. The green fees are also amongst the most generous in the area: £28 at weekends, and only £12.50 at the weekend. GREEN FEE KEY: £1-£15=£ £16-£30 = ££ £31-£50 = £££ £50+ =££££ |
