South Herts Golf Club is one of the oldest in the region having been founded in 1899 and its course is based upon designs penned earlier in the decade by the legendary golf course architect Harry Vardon. His designs so influenced the shape of golf course architecture throughout the rest of the twentieth century.
With eighteen holes measuring well in excess of 6400 yards there are plenty of opportunities for the big hitters to really let rip off the tees and slam the ball down the fairway. Exercising a little caution at the same time is not to bad an idea, however, as there is more than just the odd hazard lying in wait for any stray one.
