Originally opened as an eighteen hole course in 1910, Oxhey Park was closed in 1954 and reopened as a nine hole course in 1991. A public pay and play venue, it is ideally suited to beginners or potentially high handicappers who are looking to improve certain aspects of their game and develop before taking up the challenge of one of the bigger courses in the district.
Some of the holes are extremely challenging, featuring undulating fairways that make the approach to the greens extremely difficult. Watch out for the greens on the fifth and ninth holes also as they are very well protected; the former by a mammoth bunker, and the latter by a large bank.
