The splendid course at Hadley Wood Golf Club just outside of Barnet in Hertfordshire has the distinction of having been designed by the world renowned golf course architect Dr. Alister Mackenzie. The Scot is the brains behind some of the best known courses in, not only the United Kingdom, but also the world so it must have been a real coup for this club to have him design their course.
It first threw open its doors to golfers in 1922 and so is now in its 82nd year, and gets more popular all the time. At 6457 yards from the tee on the first to the pin on the eighteenth hole, it is a fair length so be sure to have plenty stamina for it.
