The course at Bishop's Stortford Golf Club has the distinction of having been designed by the legendary golf course architect James Braid. The Fifer won the Open on five occasions and was just as adept with a pencil in his hand as a golf club, lending his Midas touch to many of the most popular and well respected courses in the United Kingdom.
This course exhibits all the traditional hallmarks of a Braid design: undulating fairways, testing feature holes with well guarded greens and narrow fairways. All this is supplemented by a fantastic location, making for an immensely enjoyable round overall.
