The two halves of the course contrast considerably. The front-nine is played on traditional, undulating parkland, whilst the back-nine features flatter, tree-lined fairways.

Water comes into play on three of the holes - the ninth, eleventh and eighteenth - and because of its exceptional irrigation system, which keeps the greens dry and firm, the course is playable virtually all year round.
