Blacknest Golf Club is home to a superb pay-and-play golf course that is easy walking and offers a good test of golf to players of all standards.

Water comes into play on an incredible 14 holes, meaning club selection is essential with the vast majority of your approach shots.

Blacknest is a particularly special course in terms of its history. A watching brief, funded by the club, was undertaken in order to observe ground works during the landscaping of an extension in 1996. Over 2 kg of pottery sherds were recovered from the 15th green and the water feature created to the north of the hole. Almost all the pottery was Roman Alice Holt greywares of 3rd century date with a few sherds of post-medieval pottery.
