THE Gleneagles Hotel, host venue for the 2014 Ryder Cup match, has unveiled details of a great new offer, which entitles golfers to play as much golf as they like in a single day for just £220.
The offer applies to all three of the venue’s championship courses - the King’s, Queen’s and Ryder Cup venue, the PGA Centenary - and is valid between now and September. If you happen to be a hotel guest, the rate drops to £175.
A Gleneagles spokesperson explained: “Our ‘Day Ticket’ is your passport to unlimited golf at Gleneagles. For only £220, you can play one round, two rounds, maybe even three if the light holds out. Compare that to the normal price of £160 per round and it is easy to see what great value this is.”
The historic King’s Course was designed by five-time Open champion and iconic golf course designer James Braid, whilst the PGA Centenary was laid out by the legendary Jack Nicklaus, a winner of no fewer than 18 majors. The Queen’s, meanwhile, is the shortest of the three but, arguably, the most enjoyable and is not without its challenge.
