New course opens with a huge roar!

Nine-hole course and dinosaur adventure golf showpiece opens to great acclaim

WITH PARTICIPATION numbers said to be dwindling, golf needs something fresh and new to re-energise the sport and the recently opened West London Golf Centre might just be the answer.

The popular driving range and golf superstore on Ruislip Road now boasts a brand new nine-hole, 3,037 par 36 golf course - a refreshing change from 7,500–yard championship designs - with nine-hole green fees just £10 over the weekend. Impressively, 50% of green fees are donated to the Teenage Cancer Trust.

At the same time, Dinosaur Escape Adventure Golf has opened to explorers of all ages. It’s described as a “monster day out for the whole family”, where Jurassic giants lurk amongst jungle vegetation and adventure golf action. Enter dinosaur territory as you explore 18 holes of adventure golf fun, and observe our near life size prehistoric predators move, breathe and ROAR.

“The launch of what we believe to be one of London’s top 9-hole courses is a significant moment for West London Golf Centre, and indeed for all golfers in the area,” said West London Golf Centre owner, Tony Menai-Davis.

“Not many brand-new courses open in the UK these days, and we think we have created a real cracker here at West London Golf Centre.”

The nine-hole course offers a new ‘play-and-play’ challenge to the region’s golfers. You can, however, join for £395 per year.

Designed by the same people behind the spectacular Seve Ballesteros course at The Shire London, the new course has lake holes and parkland holes with a twist of links golf, too, all with stunning undulating USGA-spec greens to test your game.

CONSTRUCTION

The Bridgedown Group’s next project is already under construction: a championship-length 18-hole course, named West London Links, is being built directly opposite the West London Golf Centre, and is set to open in 2017. In November 2013 the group also announced that it will open The Dye London near Edgware, north London, before the end of the decade.

Green Fees at West London Golf Centre are £22 for 18 holes on weekdays, and £25 on weekends and Bank Holidays. 9 Hole prices are £12.50 (Mon-Fri) and £14 (weekends and Bank Holidays).
