Herts venue’s owners have spent a significant sum of money renovating the clubhouse
Aldwichbury Park Golf Club has announced the completion of a £750,000 refurbishment and development of its facilities, with the brand new Fenwick-Ames Suite now open for use.
With space for up to 200 people, the new suite has its own dedicated entrance and toilet facilities for those hiring it out to use and the club believes it will make the ‘ideal venue’ for anyone hosting a cocktail party, private dinner, conference or wedding.
As well as the creation of the new suite, the investment in the club has also seen the doubling in size of the club bar, which will offer both members and visitors a relaxing environment where they can enjoy the food on offer in the extensive lounge bar menu.
The kitchen has been refurbished, too, tripling the size of its predecessor. It has recently obtained a five-star food hygiene rating and will now be open seven days a week.
The final change made is the addition of a new golfers’ lounge at the top end of the clubhouse, giving a warm, comfortable welcome to those arriving.
Still a relatively new club, Aldwickbury Park is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and is one of only a handful of clubs in the area to have two courses for its members to use: the 6,368-yard Park Course and the 1,000-yard Manor Course.
Andrew Shewbridge, general manager of Aldwickbury Park, said: “We are thrilled with the new-look suite and clubhouse, which we feel combines modern, high-quality facilities with a fresh, contemporary feel.
“Our new Fenwick-Ames Suite will prove a real asset for the local community going forward, while improvements to our kitchen and club bar will further enhance the experience for those visiting Aldwickbury Park.”
