England's top golfers have got 'Powa' with new deal
Famous trolley manufacturer strengthens its support of country’s elite amateurs
POWAKADDY, the No.1 name in electric trolleys, has extended it successful partnership with England Golf by presenting a fleet of its popular PK SPORT and Freeway SPORT trolleys to the men’s and ladies’ performance squads respectively.
The agreement showcases PowaKaddy’s commitment to golf at all levels and chairman, John DeGraft Johnson said it was an easy decision to continue to work with the organisation.
“We have enjoyed a mutually beneficial association with England Golf over the last few years,” said DeGraft Johnson.
“We are keen to support England Golf in a variety of ways, most notably assisting in the development of the stars of tomorrow, so naturally this was a relationship that we wanted to continue and strengthen.”
England Golf Performance Director and victorious 2011 Walker Cup captain, Nigel Edwards commented: “Our job is to ensure that all of our team members are provided with the necessary tools to help them improve and fitness plays a key part in this, so I am delighted that they will have access to the obvious health and fitness benefits that using a PowaKaddy provides both in practice and in competitive play.”
“Golfers need to conserve as much energy as possible during the round as well as avoid injuries that may occur from carrying. The England men’s and boys’ squad members often play 36-holes of competitive golf a day throughout the season so we want them to be at their best physically at all times.”
Edwards’ counterpart with the ladies’ team Rebecca Wood added: “PowaKaddy is one of the most iconic brand names in golf and we are extremely proud that England’s finest young female golfers will be able to benefit from the health and fitness benefits that come with using an electric trolley.
“The current crop of elite women golfers are exceptionally talented and we are confident that the season ahead will bear much success. In a game where the finest details matter, I have no doubt the Freeway SPORT trolleys that the girls have been provided with will give them an added edge over the competition.”
