Set against the backdrop of the beautiful Essex countryside, Braintree course is now one hundred and thirteen years old, but has only been at its present home since 1973. Set on slightly rolling parkland terrain, its many specimen trees are maturing quickly and the vast number of hazards provide an extra element of intrigue to playing these eighteen holes.

Measuring 6228 yards, the course is suitable even for those with short drives and tee shots. Visitors are welcome here from Mondays to Fridays and can expect to pay £35 per round or £45 per day. At weekends, play for non-members is restricted to Saturdays when a day's golf entitlement will cost £65.
