The two Championship standard links courses at Seaton Carew are hugely popular with golfers, no doubt because of the range of abilities they cater for - neither beginner nor experienced player will feel out of place here - and also for because of its picturesque setting. It makes full use of its dunes, bents and gorse so that it appears easy on the eye but hard on the scorecard.

Both of the courses are very long - the Old course measures 6604 yards compared with the mammoth 6849 yards Brabazon - so good stamina is essential to see you round these eighteen holes, as is good concentration and steady-shooting. The greens are extremely testing and very well protected, so your short game will be tested to the limit.
