Bridport and West Dorset Golf Club

The Bridport and West Dorset golf club is found on a setting of awesome natural beauty, the World Heritage coastline, where the round is played out over the cliff tops. Founded in 1891, the club relocated to its present home in 1911, and major redevelopment work was undertaken in 1989 to redesign and lengthen the course to accommodate eighteen-holes, as previously it had been a ten-hole course.

The grassy mounds, well-designed bunkers and stone walls are a permanent feature of this visually stunning course, and the par 3 sixth is one of the most memorable holes you are ever likely to encounter. Only 133 yards from tee to pin, your shot drops from the top of the cliff to the green, almost at sea-level below.
