Downes Crediton Golf Club

The result of farmland renovation, Downes Crediton is a fabulously picturesque course in the heart of Devonshire, incorporating the scenic countryside into eighteen challenging holes. The River Yeo running through it in several places adds a touch more aesthetic splendour to the course, whilst giving those who play there plenty to think about as they line up their shots.

The front nine is played on relatively flat ground and crosses the river in two places, once with a drive, so accurate hitting and a slightly closed club face is absolutely essential from the tee. The back nine is considerably hillier and features two ponds that add a further dimension and difficulty to the round.
