Vale Royal Abbey Golf Club

Arguably one of the most splendid sights in the North-West of England is the converted mansion clubhouse at the Tytherington Golf Club. The former home of Lord Delamere has been transformed into a sensational home for golf and the course that surrounds it is just as spectacular. Despite having only opened in 1998, and constructed to exact international USGA standards, it has matured remarkably quickly over the last six years or so and is a true golfing gem.

It has an almost unique terrain for golf, spread out across rolling sandy soil, and in places it meanders through mature woodland and meadows, and incorporates many lakes as well as being bounded by the River Weaver.
