Due to the approach through the residential area of Reddish, you could be forgiven for getting lost on your way to play a round at Houldsworth Golf Club for the first time. It is surrounded by houses and a disused railway making it a haven for golfers and wildlife alike, and it has a verdant, lush course that is a joy to play. Major features include water hazards, cleverly placed bunkers and a par three, seventh tee which runs extremely close to the houses.

The greens are brilliantly maintained, and also undulating providing a real challenge for even the most experienced golfer. The staff and members are also very friendly so you will be made to feel right at home if you are visiting.
