Fans of woodland style courses will certainly like the one at Heyrose Golf Club. It possesses some marvellous mature trees and has incredible, picturesque views of the Cheshire countryside in which it sits. It is a course that will test the aptitude of any golfer, whether a high or a low handicapper, and a good indication of this is the par of 73 for eighteen holes over the considerable length of 6515 yards.

Watch out in particular for the feature hole of the course, the par-3 16th. It is 237 yards long and is bounded by a river in a wooded valley. It is a real aesthetic delight, but don't be too consumed by that or you may end up dropping a couple of shots.
