First opened in 1991, Bourn golf club has matured quickly and spectacularly both on and off the course. It has forged an excellent reputation for itself as a top quality, peaceful, picturesque countryside, and the trees and shrubbery planted thirteen years ago have grown well to finely complement the older, existing trees.

It is beset by hazards ready to catch out careless shots. There are three lakes, and water features on no fewer than eleven of the holes. In the autumn of 1998, fourteen of the greens were completely rebuilt to enhance the challenge and enjoyment of the course, and the club is reaping the dividends with a membership of well over five hundred.
