Golf in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire & Oxfordshire
There is little doubt that Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire is one of the biggest and best regions to enjoy the Royal and Ancient game.
Every travelling golfer likes a region that is full of variety and there can be few places in England that offer greater variety than Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.
The county is awash with wonderful golf courses, some of which you may have heard of before, others not so well known but still worth the trip. That's the kind of opportunity that awaits would-be visitors to Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire - the chance to explore and see something new. One of the best venues in the region is Magnolia Park, a sweeping championship course built to USGA specifications and providing a challenge of the highest order. Set in over 200 acres of glorious Buckinghamshire countryside, the course was designed by Jonathan Gaunt - one of the UK's top golf course designers - and is a blend of links characteristics whilst maintaining an elegant parkland appearance. Another popular venue is Wycombe Heights, home to two courses, the High Course and the Low Course, the latter a John Jacobs design and well worth your attention.
The most famous course in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire is Woburn, home to the new The Heritage tournament on the European Tour. If you're lucky, you might catch a glimpse of Ian Poulter - this is where the European Tour star plays most of his golf.
