The Berkshire Golf Club is one of England's more exclusive golf clubs and can be a bit pricey for a round. But, if you're prepared to pay for quality (and this is sheer quality in every sense of the word) then The Berkshire is the very place.
Some of the best amateur players in the history of golf have played The Berkshire as it is home to the annual Berkshire Trophy. Recent winners of the 72-hole stroke-play event are England team member Ross Fisher and Walker Cup star and former British Amateur champion Gary Wolstenholme. Previous winners are none other than Sir Michael Bonallack, Nick Faldo, Peter Oosterhuis and Peter McEvoy. There are two courses on offer, the Red Course and the Blue Course. GREEN FEE KEY: £1-£15=£ £16-£30 = ££ £31-£50 = £££ £50+ =££££ |
