Defence Academy Golf Club

One of the few on-campus golf courses in the United Kingdom, established inn 1956, the Defence Academy course was founded to encourage interested beginners to take up the sport, in pleasant, novice-friendly parkland conditions.

Making use of twelve holes and eighteen tees, each hole is unique and the course itself stretches for the comparatively short distance of 5684 yards with a par of 70. The club's handicaps are also recognised by the English Golf Union and, as such, can provide handicap certificates that most other golf clubs carry as a mandatory pre-condition to membership.
