Though not a particularly well-known golf club by any means, Bradfield College could be about to hit the big time - and it's all down to a 16-year-old. Daniel Torrance, son of heroic Ryder Cup winning captain Sam, is known to practice till the nights come in at Bradfield College.

It is a sure sign of the quality of this golf course that Torrance Jnr, who could practice anywhere he chooses, does, indeed, prefer to play his golf over these rolling Berkshire fairways.

The course itself, while not long compared to most modern courses, is a great test of golf for players of all pockets and persuasions and all levels of ability.
